1. What Personal Information Do We Collect? We collect only the information necessary to provide our waste management services, such as skip bin bookings, Frontlift collections, apartment audits, and quotes. This includes: Contact Details: Name, phone number, email address, postal address (e.g., for delivery in Melbourne).
Booking/Service Info: Suburb/postcode, waste type (e.g., construction, green waste), bin size, duration, and payment details.
Business/Consultant Data: For commercial or apartment clients—company name, ABN, strata details, site audits (e.g., bin room layouts for Melbourne complexes).
Website Usage: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via cookies—see Section 7). We do not collect sensitive information (e.g., health data) unless required for compliance (e.g., hazardous waste declarations).
Other: Feedback, complaints, or marketing opt-ins.

Pricing & Payments Quotes: Provided via site, phone, or email. Prices include GST, delivery/pickup in standard zones. Extras (e.g., permits, extensions) charged separately.
Rates (indicative, Melbourne, Launceston): Mini Skip (4m³, 7 days): $400–$500
Large Skip (8m³): $600–$750
Frontlift Collections: $85–$300 per lift (volume-based)
Consulting Audits: Free initial; $500+ for full plans
Payment: Secure via card/Stripe at booking. No refunds for early pickup unless we cancel (full refund then). Late fees: 1.5% monthly on overdue invoices.
Taxes/Fees: You pay all applicable taxes, surcharges (e.g., fuel), and council fees.
We reserve the right to adjust prices with notice.
Terms of Use
These Consultancy Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all waste management consulting services provided by General Waste Matters (“we,” “us,” “General Waste”) to you (“Client,” “you”).
Our consultancy services include: Commercial & Frontlift waste audits.
Apartment/strata waste system design & compliance
Recycling optimisation & FOGO implementation
Council permit & EPA compliance strategies
Cost-reduction & sustainability reporting
By engaging us (via booking, quote, or contract), you accept these Terms.
2. Scope of Services Free Initial Audit: 30–60 min on-site or virtual review. No obligation.
Paid Consulting: Detailed reports, plans, tender support, or ongoing advisory.
Deliverables: PDF reports, CAD bin-room layouts, compliance checklists, or presentation decks.
Locations: Greater Sydney, Melbourne, and regional NSW/VIC (travel fees may apply outside metro).
We do not provide legal advice—recommend independent legal review for regulatory matters.
3. Booking & Engagement Booking: Via generalwaste.com.au, email (consult@generalwaste.com.au).
Confirmation: Written quote + scope sent within 24 hrs. Acceptance = signed quote or email reply.
Changes: Scope changes require written approval. Additional fees apply.
4. Fees & Payment Service

Tender Support / Ongoing Advisory
$120/hr or retainer
Payment Terms: 50% deposit on engagement; balance on report delivery.
Invoicing: Via Xero – Net 7 days.
Late Fees: 1.5% per month on overdue amounts.
Expenses: Travel >50km from CBD billed at $0.78/km + time.
5. Client Responsibilities You must: Provide accurate site plans, current waste contracts, and access to bin rooms/staff.
Ensure safe site access (hi-vis, induction if required).
Implement recommendations at your own risk—we are not liable for execution.
6. Intellectual Property Ownership: All reports, designs, and tools remain property of General Waste.
License: You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use deliverables for your site only.
No Resale: You may not resell, republish, or white-label our work.
7. Confidentiality We keep your data (waste volumes, contracts, layouts) strictly confidential.
You keep our methodologies, pricing, and templates confidential.
Survives termination.
8. Liability & Warranties No Guarantee: We do not guarantee cost savings, council approval, or third-party adoption.
Limitation: Our liability is capped at fees paid for the project.
Exclusions: No liability for indirect losses (e.g., fines, downtime).
Warranty: Reports are based on data provided—accuracy depends on your input.
Australian Consumer Law rights (non-excludable) apply.
9. Termination By You: 48 hrs written notice before site visit = full refund of deposit. After = 50% fee.
By Us: For non-payment, misconduct, or safety risks. Refund pro-rata.
Post-Termination: Return/destroy confidential materials within 7 days.
10. Privacy Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy (/privacy) – compliant with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.11. Disputes Step 1: Notify us in writing – we respond within 5 business days.
Step 2: Mediation in Sydney under Resolution Institute rules.
Governing Law: New South Wales, Australia.
12. General Entire Agreement: These Terms + your signed quote = full contract.
Assignment: We may assign; you cannot without consent.
Force Majeure: Delays due to strikes, lockdowns, or council delays excused.
